i got the mist working on my map with this code "
maps\mp\_fx::loopfx("mist", (3408, 0, -60), 0.3);
"" parameters are( (x-axis,y-axis,translucency),speed)
how do i flip my mist so its length is on the y axis? because right now its on the x axis and the mist is going the wrong direction on the map.

In order to have the mist play along a different path you must create a new fx by altering certain parameters.

FX Resizing tutorial:
http://modsonline.com/Tutorials-read-105.html

I would at least read through this tutorial to obtain a grasp on where to start. It is somewhat hard to say for a fact which parameters to change for the mist fx, but I have gone through the above tutorial and then moved onto making different types of snow effects, water effects, and fire effects for maps.

It will take time, especially to change the settings and to test, until you obtain the effect you desire. However, it is well worth it in the long run.

If you like I do have one map I was making which had water pipes with water gushing out of them. I had to make custom effects to resize and redirect the effect depending on how the pipes were situated. I can find the map and send it to you for reference. I also used the fire barrel effect from the above tutorial in this map as well.

Here is the map I was mentioning. The stock water effect can be found in the root directory of the pk3, and the custom ones in the fx folder.
