First of all, sorry guys if I'm posting this in wrong subforum, I'm new here, and I'm not generally into modding except for some small (mostly basic) things... I'm more into video editing etc.

Anyways, my question is, does anyone knows how to import a custom sky made with Terragen 2 into COD2?

I know hoa to make a custom sky with Terragen 2, assing cameras to their position, render them and assign the right name (ft, rt, lt, up, dn...).

Afterwards I convert them into TGA format, but what should I do next?

Please help, none of the tutorials helped me concerning this question.

TIA

hi. i've never made cod2 skybox, but i did make cod4 custom skyboxes for some of my maps and they all worked.
but i think on both cod's it's the same, so try this.

after making all of the images in terragen, and renaming them, put them in root/texture_assets/your_skybox
(i hope cod2 uses the same directory, and if not maybe it uses main) if you don't have texture_assets folder create it.
Open asset manager and make a new material with material name for your skybox.
Asset Manager settings are these:
materialType = sky
Sort = skybox-horizon
surfaceType = none
usage = sky
Color map = load just the image skybox_ft in there.
set bilinear and check nopicmip.

on Special surface properties check "sky"
Conver it (F10) and last thing to do is, put the created skybox iwi image in .iwd file in folder called "images".

Hope it helped.

Tank you for your reply TrikX, but new problem occured. -.-'' Always problems...
[mad] [cry]

This happened when I tried to install MOD Tools

I tried removing all the downloaded files and mods (making it look like deafult COD2) but it says the same thing again, seen above on the pic.
Any ideas? [sad]

It looks like the registry entry is missing.

if it's a registry problem it should still ask him to specify the path manualy on install.
but try this, click on start (win7) and search "regedit". open it and in there Find (Edit - Find i think) "call of duty" then you will see if it's in the registry. it should be somewhere under software.
there should also be a value with path to the game, try changing it if it's not good.
