hi
so my map causes the game to crash
it doesn't give an error message or anything, it just freezes and says the game has stopped responding
i can't find a pattern or anything in the places it crashes, just seems to do it in random (but very specific) places, but the places are always the same
for example, i could be standing somewhere looking one way, take 1 step forward or backward, and the game will crash even when no new portals come into view or triggers or scripts or anything
sometimes when the game freezes all the skins/textures will turn black before showing the crash

what could be causing this?

Hey there! If you have backups from earlier stages of your project, I would suggest to recompile them and see if the error is present, and if not, you could remove certain parts from your latest map that is not in the map that works without crashing the game. In this trial and error method you might want to look for brushes that are heavily edited, distorted, or rotated by a custom amount (so not 0, 90, 180, 270), huge meshes, wrongly defined effects, things like that.
