Sadly, the majority of game modders have moved on as the developers preferred to have the modders working FOR them instead of with them. That - and this game is almost two decades old - interest for most has moved to other things. Look in the downloads section - there may be a mod that does what you are asking for already - or one that is similar that you can tear apart to see how it works and from there make your own Good luck soldier!

sorry for late reply, what kind of weapons are you trying to add, it is actually quite simple. as stryder has said tho there are mods that already do what you are asking.
