good job mate, i havent played something like this. nice scripting overall, i loved the entire mission and your anims were always right on with the scenes. good job mate. hope to see more and soon XD lol. good job. The custom voiceovers did a very nice job for the mission. Although i didnt buy into one of them lol. the other one was fine.

Yeah, they aren't professional actors. They were just my friends who knew how to do some accents so cut them a little slack. Oh and I did the voice for Baseplate, too [tongue]

I'm glad you liked the level though [jumping]

Pretty good.
Added some nice new things from the previous version you released, and added some things that created problems that weren't there before.
It's cool that you wanted to use custom (American guy trying really hard to fake a deep UKish accent?) voice overs too but it killed the mood and made it seem sloppy when Price would use his stock/regular voice overs too.

Start Of The Mission -- Can See Nothingness. Not Hard To Miss.



Can Drop Down And Baddie Doesn't Realize You're There Since Avoiding The Upside Flip Scripted Sequence Breaks Level.



Another Bug Stemming From The Broken Scripted Upside Sequence. Can Untie Nikolai First And He's Buddy-Buddy With Baddie.



Stuck In Door When Price/Gaz Come In.



Not Really A Bug But IMO Probably Poor Choice Of Spawning Guys Quake-Style Here; They Just Spawn Right Out Nowhere. Prob Would Have Looked Better If The Initial Baddies In The Front Area Called For Help And The Guys From The Door Busted Through Rather Than Waiting For Player To Walk Near Door And Hit The 'Spawn Baddies Few Feet In My Face To Rape Me' Trigger.



It was pretty fun overall, just some small chinks in the map that should have been easy to catch during development.

i also noticed a few "bugs":

the C4 on the wall to the parking lot doesn't do any damage (player should receive a small radiusdamage if he is too close) and there is apprently no explosion sound (v1.7 problem?)

you should consider covering the staircase rails to the roof with clip brushes, so that you don't get stuck

the clipping on the roofs is functional, but ugly. on the other hand you can jump down and fall thru the no-collision neighbour buildings to death on ground.

zahkaev's son is immortal at the end *lol*, you could disable the players weapon but you can leave it like this if you want

when the screen turns black for credits, freezecontrols(true); would be good to prevent the player from firing blindly ;)


your mission is quite short, but well done. you should keep up mapping & scripting 'cause you have really good ideas and potential.

Thanks guys.

Yeah... I won't be updating the map anymore since the bugs are pretty minor (except maybe the guard not getting alerted one - thanks Sparky). I wish I could have caught these bugs before I uploaded but... *shrug* I appreciate you all telling me about the bugs though.

I'm not really a very good mapper, so I apologize if anything is ugly. I tried to make things look decent, at the very least.

I prefer using custom voiceovers over the stock ones because I think we are able to tell better stories if we write our own dialogue. I imagine if I would be building this level professionally, that I would record the scratch dialogue initially (with friends) and then hire real actors and simply replace the sound files. I don't think it's any less sloppy than piecing together random bits of dialogue from the game (*cough*Downtown*cough*... kidding!).

yea they all seem minor stuff. Some stuff like the ai's wont do anything if you stand in front of them during an anim lol. But its cool overall. I would of added some more fx's. Fx's to me are gods gift of glorifying everything :D *drool* lol. also i just wanted to point out that instead of knifing the guy u can shoot at him from the vent, in the section where u have to hit space bar. Yea all u do is go prone and look through the cracks, youll kill the guy for sure. but still really good stuff! definately will be dl any of your future stuff. As long, as i have the game XD lol.

Haha, yeah... didn't add too many fx... I used them for explosions and stuff, though. Maybe next time I can experiment more with fx.

Yeah, you can actually shoot the guy through the door where Gaz is looking if you go prone hehe... I don't mind though. If it makes you happy to snipe him from the cracks, that's cool too!

I will let you all know when I am starting a new map! Thanks for your support!
