Wasnt sure exactly how to word the title, but basically I have been looking for tuts (especially video ones) that explain how to make a map. I already watched one from this site and was able to create a room, which was really cool to actually run around it when I was done.

Now Im trying to find out how to make the map itself and not just a room. Like how do I create the playing field with skybox and add things like roads, ponds, rocks, mountains and such?

All these video tutorials give you what is needed to make a map. The CoD tutorials, though they are old, still pretty much apply to any version of Radiant. They teach you what is needed to make a map. You just need to use your head and figure out how to incorporate things learned into what you want to do in your maps.

Awesome thanks, Im actually learning little something already..

One question right now with a small issue Im having. Working on the playing field so I can start some terrain and when I zoom out on the grid side of Radiant Im having trouble distinguishing the grid lines versus my playing field lines... is there a way to change colors around with the grid area so Im not having this problem? Its really annoying and slowing me down.

Ok i figured out the issue, but having one other small problem...

I created a small 5ft by 5ft terrain area just to test the basics and when I load into it, I notice there are some funky colors on my guys arms and weapon and changes colors as I spin, green, blue, purple etc etc. I added a light volume and no help and also added a reflection probe and still no help.

I made a tutorial a few days ago which pretty much covers all that you have requested here. You can download it if you wish, or you can just stream the video; the quality is pretty much the same if you stream it in HD. Enjoy.

Thanks Zesty! Thats awesome for real... learned me some good stuff from that very informative video. You planning on doing anymore vids to maybe get into some of the more complicated aspects of making maps?
