Holy cow.. Blizzard Entertainment has announced in a press release that they have over 5 million subscribers to World of Warcraft. What the heck kind of bank can accept nearly $75 million per month. That is.... whew, alot of cash.

I'm not a fan of the game, simply because of the pay montly subscription. But that is a whole wad of cash when it comes to the people that run the game, server companies etc.

It was 1.5 million in March, 3.5 million in July, now 5 million. The July press release said 1.5 million subscribers are in China, and i'ts their largest market (at that time).

Also it said that China has 100 million on line households vs the US at 185 million, but it's expected that China will exceed the US in terms of people online "soon".

Does the game have the 3 hour play limit enabled? Because that would make an impact on the statistics.

I have the game, and I pretty much stopped playing. It is really fun up until about lvl 25.. After that its pretty much the same thing over and over again... Slowly getting levels..

I think I am going to design a game similar to WoW and try to retire at the age of 18! I shall call it World of Duty (a WWII MMORPG). Oh, and BTW, Patent Pending! [rocking]

I have never played a WOW type game so I have a valid question...is there anticheat program released with that type of game or is cheating nonexistent?

I don't ask that to start any AC wars, I'm serious, I have no clue about those games.

Yes they did very well on the anticheat side of World of Warcraft, they pretty much have a detection system with in the server side game. also they have a team that would monitor any unusual actions within the MMO. @ But crazy people still try to steal your login and password by sending email key loggers, WOW will never ask for your login and password nor personal information.

the game is designed very well..

I have played it, i used to be a very big into RPG, but relizing i was burning more Brain Cells and days was going by without notice haha.. .

Again FF11 is also great for anti-cheats... never seen any1 cheat on it... or even heard of any1 cheat. There are hacks that show statistics that u are not supposed to see but nothing that would give u a huge advanatage.

p.s. my bro bought me ff8 for christmas! woo! i had it for the playstation when i was, like, 16 but its scratch to flick =( but not he got me it for the pc!!!!!!!!! duuuuuuude ff8 rocks! then 7 and 10, and tbh they are the only decent final fantasy! (soz for off topic lol)
