Usually ,to run a map, we need an introscreen and various custom materials, sounds or fx scripts that this GSC file manages.
if your map is "under-construction" and you don't yet have all these stuff you can make that GSC simply like that:
open your notepad--->
write:

main()
{

maps\mp\_load::main();

}

then save as...mp_YOURMAPNAME.gsc
put it on yourhd:\program files\activision\call of duty world at war\raw\maps\mp\
you're now able to run your map from the LAUNCHER--->RUN GAME menu with those options:
EXE type--->MP
DEVMAP--->mp_yourmapname
COM_INTROPLAYED-->0
R_FULLSCREEN-->0
leave ALL the other options to 0.

this is the STANDARD gsc. file that works for all ,so if you have troubles or script errors try to modify your gsc to look like that.

At the moment adding:

maps\mp\_load::main();

To your map GSC will generate an error on 'exceeded 400 FXs Assets' if combined with MP Vehicles in the map or Script_struct for _Global_fx

When using the 'CREATE MAP' from Launcher no Map GSC is created at all despite this the map can be played ... [confused]

More information is required from Treyarch for us to work this one out.

ok i'll explain how i made my map run :P

create a map on radiant (simple skybox and a floor with spwnpoints etc.)

BEFORE compiling it you must insert in:

Hd:\Program files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\raw\maps\mp
AND in Hd:\Documents and Settings\yourname\local settings\application data\Activision\CoDWaW\usermaps\mp_yourmap
your custom .gsc (the standard one i wrote is ok atm)

I ALSO placed an .arena file with the gametypes of my map in:
Hd:\Documents and Settings\yourname\local settings\application data\Activision\CoDWaW\usermaps\mp_yourmap

compile your map on launcher -->compile level
(you should see no more errors regarding .gsc file)

go on launcher-->run game
at this point you should see the classic main page of the game,if you go on "create server" page you should see your map on the right column in the map list, simply chose it and it should run.
