On first run through of mod:

We though that overall the mod was superb. We loved the Imperial Player Models but we though the Rebel Models could be a little more detailed, we thought maybe because it was Tatooine "Sandy/Desert" maybe this is why the lack of detail.

The first map Tatooine is great, many places to hide, crevasses and gaps. We were disappointed that there was no scripting for any doors to open or close.

I did find a simple spelling mistake in part of the Menu. When you choose Perk 2 I believe, it reads: "Incraced Power Cells" Instead of Increased, just thought I would point that out.

We thought the weapons were great, nice selection of blasters so far! [thumbs_up] We understood this is a beta version but I think more Perks and weapons is a must, and someone asked about some type of melee weapon even though the butt of your gun works just fine for me.

To somehow implement a light saber to the weapon list possibly swap for the pistol would be awesome. Choose pistol or Saber for small Arms weapon. Different colors? Rebel colors and Imperial Colors?

The mod itself as for Dvars seems really thin, not much to edit, and I said before, I understand it is still Beta. You might want to think about some kind of weapons damage Dvars, health system, new perks, like remote detonators, proximity mines, drone in exchange for the helicopter. I noticed even with that enabled in Tatooine, the hardpoint of the helicopter never came.

Maybe swap the Heli for some kind of droid that flies around the map and shoots victims?

The work so far is amazing and I can't wait to see more of this Mod. We loved it!! [biggrin]

i agree with deekciti :)
I hope that you can level up in the final version and that you can get a lightsaber.

the only thing i think that is a shame is that there are so many campers on the servers xD ö

I agree with Deek as well. Otherwise an excellent mod that has drawn me back to cod4. All of you have done an amazing job with the one level you do have atm, the weapons, the perks, and the killstreak bonuses.

On the issue of the light sabers, I would point out that technically, this is a Star Wars mod and not a Jedi Knight mod. Neither the Rebel Alliance nor the Imperial Forces used light sabers.

My major criticism of the mod is that the mod team should remove recoil altogether to make the laser effects on the weapons more realistic as at the moment most of them act more like bullet-based weapons with recoil than laser weapons (which wouldnt kick at all).

thank you for the nice feedback so far :)

when i build the mos eisley map i had something like a mix between toujane and matmata in mind; lots of outside geometry, some spots on roofs, but almost no inside buildings (or at least very basic indoor spots) so no opening doors on this map, i hope you don`t mind ;) but maybe another map in the works has opening doors... ;)

thx for pointing out the the typo in the perk menu!

more blasters are in the works, and we have ideas to include some other type of weapons, via perks and different classes, but we are still working on stuff...so we have only included stuff that is complete so far...

interesting tho, that the community suggestions for killstreaks are very similar to what we already have in discussion in the team, but have to be implemented yet, hoping we don`t hit yet another engine limit for additional content, but we are optimistic :)

demonseed is very right; not every imperial- or rebellsoldier is a jedi, so not everybody carries a lightsaber, but we have ideas, where to implement them (if we are able to tho...) tbh, i don`t like the idea of everybody wielding a saber, it kinda trivialises the weapon, as it is more of a specialists weapon, carried only by sith- and jediknights...but we will see, how far we can go with this...

about the recoil issue: we understand, that these weapons are expected to literally act like "laserweapons", but for the sake of gameplay and to emphasize how powerful these blasterweapons are supposed to be, we left the recoil in; tho we turned it down a little bit...

hope you don`t mind our decisions :)

again, thx for the feedback, this is really pushing us to create more content for this mod!

fellow mappers and modders, we have made a little update on our mod, took us 8 long months to get it to a level to be able to release this, hope you dont mind the little bugs that we still haven`t been able to iron out, but maybe you might want to have a look at it...download from mod db or else have a look at our release trailer first here. hope you like it and maybe see you on the servers, cheers :)

I dont like SWM Team for posting updates just right before MOTY awards to get more visitors and votes. Making a mod require media updates all time - not only before MOTY. You had chance to get award last year but now HL2 and UT mods will take all awards.
Three new weapons, three new maps and one new gametype is too small to get MOTY this year.

hehe brax, don't be bitter because we didn't need you in the mod team...we do update our moddb site quite often and we post lots of stuff via twitter :D
